    ASG starters revealed

    Sheets vs. Lee

I was kinda hoping with Halladay's amazing start before the break that he'd get the starting nod but I can't be too upset about it. Lee has really done a great job so far this year.

Can't really go wrong with Lee or Halladay. They are both on my fantasy team!

It should be Tim. He is 11 and 2 on the Giants, come on. What would Ben's record be if he played for the Giants?

Well since Lincecum just pitched the other day, he was pretty much out of the running...

I think Haren would have been a good pick, unfortunately W-L is still the sexy stat people look to. *shakes head*

Well, I well say this. I rather have a pitcher that wins 20 games a year, than having a pitcher that wins 10 games a year, but have a great WHIP.

I'm pretty sure Lincecum was out of the question regardless. Giants want to save him and rest him more come second half. He'll be the "#3 starter" coming out of the ASG. No use in overdoing it since we're nowhere to be found in competition anyway.

I'd love to have a great offense rather than a ****ty offense too.

Wins are overrated but they aren't worthless. Obviously, if a guy is winning 20 games then he's doing something right even if he has a strong offense behind him.

There is nothing overrated about 20 wins. There might not be anything overrated about winning 15 games, either.

It gets overrated when you start thinking that a guy with 20 wins is clearly better than a guy with 13 just because of the wins difference.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
