    cool stories thread

    Very realistic story-
    -Bottom of 5th
    -expos at cubs (me)
    -2 outs
-hill on second, alou at bat
Alou lines the ball right to on one hop to vlady. I send hill home, vlady fires and i think for sure hill is out. The cutoff lets it go by him and the ball pulls barrett off the plate about two feet up the third baseline. Hill slides in safe, if the ball would have been on target hill would have been out. I thought it was very cool. If you have any wsb stories like this tell me, i would like to hear them.

-"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves."

I had one situation earlier today, before I had to rush off to take my mid-term exam. What happened is that I hit a chopper toward the shortstop. The ball bounced so high, that the catcher went out to try and field it, but he bobbled the ball and it seemed to bounce around between him and the thirdbaseman (it was like they had called of the SS). Of course I coasted into first with a single

I hit a screamer toward the second baseman, and he bobbled it while trying to backhand it. What's cool is that when he did this, he looked toward outfield and all around him, because he couldn't find the ball. By the time he found it, I was pulling up at first

I am playing as the cubs against the reds and they have Barry Larkin on first and I forgot who was on third. Larkin tries to still second base and I throw him out at 2nd but then I notice the runner on third scored. So looked at the replay and runner at third took off for home after the catcher threw the ball to 2nd. First time I have had that happen in baseball game but I do wish in situations with runners on 1st and 3rd if the guy on second tries to steal if I could have the catcher get up and look like he is throwing to second but instead have the pitcher cut it off because I don't think when I got the ball at second, I would have had a chance at getting the runner at home.
