    Re: JOSH HAMILTON

I had to work tonight and I missed it. Dammit.

Hamilton is the natural, though. I'm so glad he's overcome his problems and we're getting to see just how great of a talent he is.

Awesome story behind that too.. he was interviewed on XM radio before the derby..

Basically said that he's known him since he was real young - and that the guy threw batting practice to anyone and everyone without so much as a thank you. When Josh made the team, he called the coach to come up.

I am glad that he was able to get his life back on track

I am getting a Josh Hamilton jersey. What an inspirational story. So refreshing this day and age.

              ****ing amazing.....

and the best thing about this Ruthian/Gibson power display...is that he is RELISHING EVERY moment....

to see him sign the kid's autograph between swings, to see Hanley Ramirez' very young son run out to him, to see Edison Volquez come out with the suitcase (of money-LOL), to see Big Poppi himself come out to home plate and to see the crowd at The Stadium ALL rally behind him after every at-bat...is special

              24 homers and counting......
it was incredicble.....i havent anything like him.....yeh what a heroic story

Man, the inevitable relapse is going to make this a truly tragic story.

                      Re: JOSH HAMILTON

He's already become my favorite player. That was an awesome spectacle last night. I can't imagine what was going through his head hearing the NY crowd chanting his name like that throughout that incredible record breaking round.

How you come back from a 3 year layoff to crush the ball like he is this year is unbelievable. I'm glad he's got his life turned around because he was born to play baseball.

                      Sit back and enjoy!

Yep. I found myself rooting against him when the contest started just so we wouldn't hear the slobberation.

I have to agree a litlle bit here, I mean I love what he's done with his life and what he's overcome but it's a big amount of what I hear today and it gets a little old. I'm still rooting for him because he became one of my favorite players while he was in here in cincy last year, but I've gotten a little tired of hearing the story over and over again.

It really sucks that he didn't win because of the format. This guy was awesome!!
