I always hate when they give a vehicle to the MVP. Give it to one of the fans instead.

Ha this is hilarious. Congrats Drew, I love that a BoSox got it at the Stadium. The Chevy guy had the longest pause in between thanking the crowd and calling them the best.

LOL Man even the Chevy guy looked cheesy talking about "in front of these great baseball fans". Man that place was so empty I can hear the echo of what they're saying here in Jersey.

what they need to do is expand the rosters and have alternates ready in case of injury or illness (like linecom tonight) this will be debated till next spring training

They can do it in NBA, come on, it's much better than this, hell the best players aren't even always there, if it should totally count, they should keep starters in longer, and give a week and I said a week between the all star game and the final game, and maybe even a week after, so no team has to complain about overusing a pitcher. You gotta feel for the NL though, they haven't got homefield advantage since when?

I bet you do. You're probably feeling as good as I did when the Giants crushed the Pats dreams in the superbowl right? Well maybe not THAT good.

LMAO. How ironic. JD Drew gets the MVP in Yankee Stadium.

BTW, Jeanne Zelasko FTW. I will do so many naughty things to her, it won't even be funny.

or they can rest the pitchers that make the teams a few days before the all star game like use them to pitch on a friday instead of sunday like some managers do

That is true that the NBA can pull it off but also NBA Arenas are half the size of MLB Stadiums so there are less people in town. Most MLB stadiums are 40,000 plus where NBA are what 19,000 on average. So it is def easier to pull off in the NBA.

I think they could have 3-5 alternate pitchers and tell them the only way that they are getting in the game is if it goes extras. They get to be selected to the team take part in all the festivities and then hang out in the pen if the game goes extra.
