What's so interesting is that the game against the Padres before this one I couldn't hit anything. Players and teams definitely seem to streak, as last game we got 18 hits (not unreasonable for 13 runs). Just thought I'd share.

FINALLY!!
After 4 games where I only had 1 HR, and lost every one, I finally won! 13-4 to the Padres!!! The nice thing was I had 3 HR's which was good, and I also allowed my first HR (by Wiki Gonzalez). Fred McGriff had a Grand Slam, and had one other solo HR. By far my best game yet.

Re: FINALLY!!
Um, isn't the offense more to do with YOU, the person doing the hitting? I wish this game had a Manage-Only mode like ASB2004, it would rock. Yeah, the "streaks" you mentioned are soley influenced by you.Comment

Re: FINALLY!!
I disagree with the streaks and being user based.
I think the Computer does somethiing and players definitely go into funks, not on the accord of the user.
For example first 3 games, Shawn Green didn't get a hit AT ALL. Although he has one of the best hitting ratings on my team, I couldn't buy a hit for him. Then he stared to come around in the next two games.
My point is that if it was soley user driven, players like Shawn Green would always be better than the rest of the team. Why was it that I could get Hideo Nomo to line one to RF, but all Shawn Green could do was hit pop flies in the infield?
I think the CPU does something to create streaks, to make players hot and cold. How, I don't know, but just what I've seen.
