Here are some tips for homeruns and strikeouts for all who need it

I know alot of you are having touble with both of ive been playing alot the past 3 days ive been home sick from work lol. well anyway this game is very challenging i strugled at first just to put runs on the board but after playing id have to say 20-25 games im really getting the hang of it. u really need to do what pitchers in real life to get hrs and ks

    **For Strikeouts**

-mix up speeds and pitches, dont go for the 3 pitch ks use certain pitches to set up other pitches

-change speeds and locations, fastball to change up high low inside outside, keep the hitter guessing dont be too predictable

-dont just pitch the cold zones, try making a good pitch near their hot zone, hitters are more likly to chase something, but make sure the pitch is good if u make a mistake doing this u will pay

-save ur best pitch for ur streakout pitch, changeups curveballs, and sliders work well, also if ur pitcher has a good fastaball through it high and to the corners works well

    **Homeruns**

-Dont just go up there hacking at the first pitch u may get a hit but its hard to get hrs this way

    - Get the count in ur favor, pitchers are going to have to give u a pitch to hit when its 2-0 3-0 3-1

-When u see a mistake pitch make sure you jump on it, this is the BEST way to hit one out, time it right and hit the analog stick up and u can hit a hr easily.just like real life u dont see many hrs on good pitches, when teh pitcher hangs a curve or leaves a fastball over the plate is when they hit it out

-Try and hit it down the lines, all of the stadiums are much shorter down the line then to centerfeild and the gap, alot of times ill nail the ball but it will stay in the park cause centerfield is like 400 ft, so try and pull the ball on a inside pitch and hit the other way on teh outside pitches, u want hit as many on outside pitches but it works

Here are just some things i found out im hitting one or 2 hrs a game some games more some less and striking out around 5 or 6 a game depends what pitcher i use

Yep, very nice tips. I'm finding it very difficult to hit home runs and striking out batters, so I'll make sure to keep all of this in mind.

I tried somewhat of the strategy listed, where I'd get ahead in the count, and then I'd try to hit the ball down the line. Guess what? It worked! I hit 4 hr's tonight! Playing as Texas at New York on all-star level against Clemens, Juan Gone hit 3 hr's (2 off Clemens, one off Hitchcock) and Palmeiro once. Each time, get this, I aimed for the short porch in right and all 4 hr's went out to right. Palmeiro's was a bomb, but Juan Gone's were each high line drives that happened to caryy and sneak over the wall in right. Very cool! I'm still terrible getting K's pitching, though, I got 3 for the whole game and would love to get better doing that. One trick that was listed also was something I tried, and that was to try and save my best pitch for the strikeout pitch. That seemed to work, on all 3 K's I was able to blow a 4-seamer right by the hitters after setting them up with junk.

The downside? I still gave up 16 hits to the CPU - and 15 of them were singles. Not a good thing.

Yeah, pitching is definitely harder. You just have to be patient, work the count, and change speeds. Remember, 3-5 strikeouts for a starting pitcher is pretty realistic, unless it's Randy Johnson. Batting is simple. The longer you work the count and wait for "your" pitch, the better the chances that you'll get a mistake pitch.
