Question for the staff
Couple weeks ago yuo mentioned playing an 85% build of WSB for the XBOX.
Were you lucky enough to score a similar PS2 copy that you could discuss a bit?be who you are and say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those that mind, don't matter.Tags: None -

Re: Question for the staff
Fat Pitcher did discuss in another forum the differences (that he knows of) between the X-Box and PS2 versions of WSB 2k3:
"Texture quality, antialiasing, self-shadowing, bump mapping, environment mapping (I think).
Also, the Xbox stores more years of year-by-year career stats (both always keep correct totals, though). I haven't looked to see how many years that is, but I think the PS2 keeps at least 10. The PS2 version has a couple minor bug fixes that aren't on the Xbox version.
Stealing is easy on Pro/Medium pitch speed, beyond that I've never had an unreasonable amount of success.
Bugs fixed on PS2:
- Single season record for strikeouts by a batter is 189, on Xbox it's 180.
- Wayne Franklin is white instead of black
- injured player disppearing when pinch runner should be coming in
- some minor audio stuff, don't know exactly what it was.
- salary/desired salary appearing to change when you try to re-sign a guy and he doesn't like your offer
That's about it, I think."
Hope that helps...Comment

that surprises me they can fix those bugs in a week. how does that work? when do they start producing the actual disc's so they are shipped out?
<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
Has more to do with QA setups. From what FP said there was an X-Box version with the injury thing fixed that went to Microsoft QA, but they must have taken the previous one and approved it.
Sony has a different QA process. Not as stringent as MS from my understanding.Comment

FP, can you confirm on these things being fixed? Is there anything else that you know of? Graphical changes over the past week? Reduce the amount of slowdown?Comment
