An interesting situation.. Regarding impatience and reselling..

    Heya everyone.

Here is my situation... I plan on subscribing to MLB Extra Innings this year, and they have a promotion running where when you sign up for the package you can send in your receipt and get a free copy of ASB (More info HERE.)

Anyway, I rented ASB today and in about 5 days it has to go back. Providing I can learn to bat, or at least get better, I am thinking of purchasing the game.

Now, the free copy probably won't get here until late April, early May, so I am wondering how you think I should deal with having 2 copies of the game.

If I buy ASB next week I will then get a free copy (promotion) in April or May. What can I do to get my money back, or at least most of my money back, for this game?

I don't think I can return it anywhere, as I won't have a valid receipt, and I don't have any friends that are into baseball console games...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Save your reciept when you buy it. Then, when you get your free copy, return it. Check the stores return policies though. Worst case is you can sell it on half.com and get $40 for it.

Nice! I can buy it at Wal-Mart and then return the one I get for free (unopened) saying it was a gift that I didn't like.

I just remember that my friend exchanged his PS2 a year after purchase without a receipt (he didn't buy it there) to Wal-Mart, and they didn't give him any problems. I think he got lucky though.

However, if the game is still unopened, and I keep the receipt I would think most places would be willing to at least give me store credit.

Thanks, I think that is what I will do.
