Funny commentary

So I let the game sit for awhile, and Brenneman and Lyons are doing their thing. Well, about 5 minutes in, Lyons starts talking to his wife and his kid, I think, on the phone. It was pretty funny. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

Yep.

I put the controller down and after about 10 minutes they start doggin' me out for leaving!

The called me scared.

The just kept going on and on about how great the game is and there's no way anyone could just put it down.

It was hilarious.

During a game one of the commentators started to recap an incident in which he got dirt in his pants, and pulled them down to get it out.. While he was on first base!

Pretty funny stuff, but what impressed me most was that while the one guy told this long story, the other guy introduced the batters.

So the guy would pause his story, let the other guy announcer the batter, then pick up his story where he left off. I thought that was really impressive, as usually when another takes up the audio the first commentator just cuts off and stays silent. Not in ASB... Good stuff indeed.

During a game one of the commentators started to recap an incident in which he got dirt in his pants, and pulled them down to get it out.. While he was on first base!

The commentary in this game is realistic. I like the fact that they have stories (just like the commentators at 4sd). I also like the fact that I haven't heard the same thing over and over. The only repetition however is in the bullpen.

One time Lyons was on some diatribe about something and the batter got a hit, the commentary paused so the play could be called, and then Lyons continued. Impressive

That's hilarious! That's exactly what Lyons did against the Tigers while he was with the White Sox. I believe Lyons slid into 1st base and got himself a hit. While on 1st, he was cleaning the dirt out of his pants when he actually undid his buckle and dropped his pants! It was a classic moment.

last game the went on a conversation that lasted over 1 inning about how pitchers need to pitch inside to be effective. Said so much crap and how college players have trouble learning this because you can still jack a HR with an aluminum bat.
