Question about hitting

Just wondering how often people using the normal cursor get home runs or even long fly balls WITHOUT using the power swing. Who with? What level of hitting? How often? Do you have to tilt the cursor to do it? (I don't necessarily mind having to tilt, but I think more home runs should occur with the normal cursor contact hitting.) Contact guys sometimes go yard in real life, I think they should in the game as well. I think I hit one with Corey Patterson once, but can't remember another one.

Maybe this is something Acclaim can look at next year. Not too many, but once in a while.

I have tried classic cursor from time to time. Do you still get ground balls? Do you hit the ball to all areas of the field?

yes, I get all types of hits. It just depends how well I line up the cursor before I swing. I prefer it because it is pretty simple to use.

Veteran provides a good challenge with the classic cursor.

yep, I play on veteran. Very challenging to me so far.

One way to practice hitting in game situations is to, I love player editors, is to change your opposing pitchers pitch selection to nothing but changeups or something you can hit. Thay way you can work on timing or hitting for power with runners moving or what ever the game calls for. Yeah its cheating but the CPU always cheats.
