Highest K total by one pitcher

Schilling and Patterson have both fanned 18 in complete games in my Dbacks franchise. Anyone top that?

17 with C.C. Sabthia. I the first game I ever played and I lost 2-1.

I had 22 with Maddux with the default settings. They didn't last too long. He said I broke the Major League record, but I couldn't find single game records anywhere. Has anyone seen them? Another thing, the announcer would say stuff like, just 2 away from the record, that's cool.

I don't think single game records are posted - just single season and career.

I struck out 17 in a complete game shutout with Kerry Wood too

thats pretty cool that the announcers make reference to the record. you should try to beat 22 to see if they recognize 22 as the new record or if they still say you broke the record after you go over 20.
