Realism...one thing that needs to be accepted about WSB

By adjusting the sliders, I've managed to produce competitive games between myself and CPU, with a realistic amount of hits and a more realistic amount of strikeouts. However, one thing that won't change is the fact that pitchers tire at a far lower pitch count than they do in real life or even in High Heat or ASB. Why does this not bother me? For one thing, starters still pitch a realistic amount of innings before being relieved and for another thing, let's face it....at bats just don't last as long in WSB as they do in the real world, even with CPU throw strikes set at 1. I try to be patient and I even draw a few walks a game but I still feel the need to pull the trigger before too many full counts. In the other baseball games, my at bats last longer.

In the grand scheme of things however, all this doesn't matter much to me. My concern is always to have realistic box scores compared to what other teams are doing during franchise mode so the stats are comparable and the fact that pitchers don't throw as many pitches really does not make a difference as far as this goes. So realism freaks, just accept this aspect of WSB and deal with it. The developers had their reasons I'm sure...most notably the length of games.

I agree. As much as I want to believe I'm a patient hitter, and I truly am compared to most I've played with, you just don't get too many of those long at bats. And that's fine. We don't want the game to last 3 hours.

WSB is a perfect mix to me. Just remember guys, the best way to get the upper hand on a batter is to throw pitches on the edges and outside the strike zone. If you're getting hammered, throw more pitches outside the zone. Make them go after pitches. This is real baseball.

    Very very good game.

Well, I for one think that including a Manage-Only mode would be a great way to allow us to at least see the players get full at-bats and not just be swinging and making contact on all the 1-1 and 1-2 and 2-1 counts. I would love to watch this game from a managerial point of view.
