I'm thinking about buying MVP but...

if the computer does not hit any homeruns as I have read in other posts that is a big turnoff. That's the only thing holding me back right now, should it?.

If you blow the location of a pitch, HR hitters will hit homers.
I was intentionally doing this to see the HR celebrations at various parks.

Bonds hit a HR off me the first time I faced him. I miss the sweet spot on the pitch meter a lot and give up my share of HRs (against the CPU).

If you are good enough that you never miss the sweet spot on the pitch meter maybe the CPU won't hit HRs. I wouldn't know

The CPU DOES hit HRs. I bet it would be even more if you play on All Star with the strike zone off, pitching cursor off and vibration off. Buy the game!
