Post regarding Pitching (I'm not whining)

Well, how many strikeouts are you guys averaging per game or per pitcher (whichever you prefer).

    Carpenter: 8K
    Delgado: 2K
    Hendricks: 6K
    Crespo: 2K
    Sanchez: 4K

Per game: 2K-10K* *the most I've ever had was in a complete game shutout by Carpenter

well, then I suppose no one gets strikeouts in ASB, which I find possible.

Been there, done Carpenter in exhibition, he ran a shutout and rang up some 10 to 12 K's on me.
        He did the nasty!

I was only able to get 6 with Pedro... not bad, but the computer consistently popped the ball up or grounded out instead of swinging and missing. I was able to pitch a complete game shutout 3 hitter though. Other than that, Wakefield had 4, Lowe had 5, Fossum had 5, and Burkett had 2. I've only played 5 games so far,as you can see.

It's very difficult to strike the opponent out, I play on all star level, and I get 2 - 6 per game rather consistently...but I think once I got 8. You really have to fool the cpu...I try to mix up speeds, I use my change up as a last resort strike out pitch. I like to throw hard and in, then breaking away, then hard and in...if I can get them 0-2 count, then I'll throw two hard balls out of the strike zone then come back with a change up and it usually freezes them. But, even with that logic, I average 4 K's per game. This game is very challenging.

Yeah, it's very realistic. I started to get many more strikeouts once I mixed speeds and locations more (fastball in, changeup away tends to get the hitters off-balance quite well).

Yep, been using that... I hate it when i get the hitter in the hole 0-2, but he makes contact when the location of the pitch is either way off the zone, or it's far from the previous location of the previous pitch. So far, breaking pitches played a big role in my K's.
