after playing all the games here are my grades for each game in each catagory:
WSB2K3:
GRAPHICS: A-
Sega did a great job the stadiums and animations are fantastic. P.S. get rid of the HR cutscenes please.
GAMPLAY: B-
overall a very good job my only gripe is the ball phisics are a little slow and floaty but not bad.
FRANCHISE DEPTH: A
everything is here, its easily the best of the 4 games.
SOUND: C+
its good not great. the commentators are not who i would have picked, there a little dry and boring. the game sound effects are good, everything sounds like its suppose to.
the backround music for batter walkups has got to go sometimes i feel like im at a circus. lol.
FUN FACTOR: A
not much to say here the game is just a blast to play.
EXTRA'S: B-
I love all the diff. jersey's for everyteam and beingable to select what ones you want to where before everygame is a must.(note to the other 3 games). Big league Challenge is a nice touch. suggestion for next year maybe you could add some unlockable stadiums, legends, ect.. for completing certain franchise tasks.
THE BEST: the stadiums and franchise depth.
WHAT NEEDS WORK: some of the ball physics and a few more bonuses.

GRAPHICS: B-
not bad but the stadiums anrt nearly as good as WSB, or ASB. the players look good.
GAMEPLAY: C+
A mixed bag here, the batting and pitching are what all games should copy. and my fav. is the throwing meter it gives you the feel of control, you can decide if you wanna risk making a wild throw or play it safe. The other half isnt so good the fielding just doesnt seem very smooth, no dive or jump button, and the baserunners speed cancel out the good above.
FRANCHISE DEPTH: C
Not a whole lot here, no minors, stupid cpu trades, the lack of manager options. but i do like the franchise goals, manger meter and rivals.
SOUND: A
the sound is the best of any game, MVP has the best announcers, and the best crowd sounds of any game.
FUN FACTOR: A
This game is a blast and the best multi player game on the market.
EXTRA'S: B-
The homerun showdown is the best new feature of anygame this year. the franchise goals add some fluff also.
THE BEST: the sound and throwing meter.
WHAT NEEDS WORK: the fielding, and franchise mode needs more depth.

ALLSTAR BASEBALL 2004:
GRAPHICS: A
the stadiums are very well done but i dont get the feeling im actually there. the player faces and batting stances are second to none.
GAMEPLAY: D+
this is the area that really brings ASB04 down. the fielding s stiff you never really feel like your in control of you fielders.
the batting is messed up too the pitches come in way to fast and the swing animations are way to slow equaling a reall frustrating experiance when batting. lots of work needed here Acclaim.
FRANCHISE DEPTH: A
Tons of depth to this franchise mode minor leagues, players rejecting trades, expansion mode is awesome. perfectly done here.
SOUND: B-
The sound is ok, they have the best batter walkup music and announcers. the crowd needs work.
FUN FACTOR: C-
maybe its just me but this game just isnt alot of fun for me it kinda feels like work.
EXTRA'S: B+
Roster updates, trading cards, a ton of new stadiums.
THE BEST: player faces and batting stances, roster downloads,and future stadiums.
WHAT NEEDS WORK.

HH is the champ here everything plays and feels right. the control is easy and smooth.

its good not great. the addition of minor leagues adds alot but its way behind WSB,and ASB.
SOUND: B+
very nice. the crowds and sound effects are right there with MVP.
FUN FACTOR: B+
the gameplay make this one hard to put down, and being the most realistic makes this one a winner.
EXTRA'S: C+
Roster Downloads, an realltime attendance(the only game that has this). the 2 on 2 showdown is a nice add but got boring quick.
THE BEST: Gameplay, roster downloads, Wodescreen compatible.
WHAT NEEDS WORK: Graphics and a little more depth to the there franchise.
