The Anaheim Angels own my Rangers. I mean, I've lost 4 of 5 to them. The Angels swept me the first series of the season. I just started another series with them and I dropped the first game. The second game, I went to Manage Only mode to play them. I trailed the whole game until my final at bats in the 9th. I had 2 on with 2 outs trailing 4-3. The CPU intentionally walked Kevin Mench to get to Mike Young. I sent out a pinch hitter for him bringing in Herbert Perry to hit for him. Perry worked it to a full count against Troy Percieval. I knew he would probably try to gas me so I chose a contact swing. Full count, here comes the pitch, Herb Perry sends one to the right center gap, 1 run scores from third...wait a minute...Carl Everett is going to try to score from 2nd...as the CPU throws the ball back into the infield, Everett rounds 3rd...The play at the plate....Carl is.................SAFE! GAME OVER, GOOD NITE!
I made a good managerial decision by bringing Herb Perry to hit for Mike Young. Makes me feel good!
Hopefully I can play Game 3 of the series and win. I'm 4 games back of the Angels and these games are important as I have consecutive series against the A's, Red Sox, and Yankees coming. The Rangers first month is just brutal.
