Yes, I counted NINE pickoff attempts in one game by my catcher. I didn't take any extra leads. I counted 7 in one at bat with a runner on first (not all consecutive), but it did make me want to get up and play scrabble.

The pickoff attempts was a big reason i moved to fast play where the pause after the throw is less it seems. Probably the most annoying is when your down 10-0 in the 9th and you get a man on 1st and the CPU will throw over to 1st 3 or 4 times.

But nah, it does piss me off.
I'm anxious at the plate anyway, and these numerous pickoff attempts dont make it any better!

It certainly is annoying. I would sit there and wonder what's coming next... another pick-off or an actual pitch... While I am still pondering the question, the computer would fire a 95 MPH fastball right by me. GRRRRRR........

^ It can be like that in real life sometimes too..
They catch you napping with all those pickoff moves..

I'm now about 40 games into my franchise, and i've still only had the catcher try to pick me off twice. Even regular pickoff attempts from the pitcher are nothing out of the ordinary. GridironGamer mentioned playing on the fast speed... well due to limited gaming time I have been playing on the "fastest" speed, so maybe that has something to do with it? Those of you unhappy with the pickoffs, it's worth a shot!

I'm now about 40 games into my franchise, and i've still only had the catcher try to pick me off twice. Even regular pickoff attempts from the pitcher are nothing out of the ordinary.
