Actually ill think of an example. Ok take Ryan Dempster for the Reds and pitch to a right hander. Find the lowest cold zone and throw a fastball to that spot and he should take it. Next throw a slider on the inside corner (lowest inside)...usually a strike looking or a swing and a miss or foul. Next throw a fastball way outside for a ball. Next throw a slider on the low outside corner but aim a little out of it so its a ball for the most part but a little touches the strike zone....either a foul ball, ball, or hit here. If your at 1-2 or 2-2 come back inside with the slider at the bottom corner(dead on the corner almost a ball but mostly a strike) and try to put the max effectiveness on it....swing or a miss or caught looking. Thats the best I can explain, the slider is his best pitch. If you have someone with a good curve this strategy works even better.
The way I get SO's.

I just dont get it, i was getting SO's the 1st game i played.I average 5-8 a game with the Reds. I wish we could all meet somewhere and watch how we all pitch. Change speed and hit the corners for your strike 3 pitch.
