Behind the pitcher is cool

I never thought I'd like pitching from the behind the pitcher view because it seemed like it would mess up fielding. I was wrong, and I'm loving that view. Defense has been fine, and it's so much fun to pitch from that view.

Are others using this view? And enjoying it as much?

I use the same view for pitching as I do for hitting, partly because I'm so used to it. I'll give this a try though, plus this idea has crossed my mind several times, just never got around to it.

How do you set it so that you can pitch from behind the pitcher view and bat from behind the catcher view? I tried and I could only select one or the other (not have it switch back and forth every half inning.)

go to other teams batting view and set it to pitcher.

I like the view on defense from behind the pitcher alot, however, I can't seem to field with that view, there is just a momentary time lag on a fly ball before the camera adjusts before I can tell which way my fielder should run and it leads to a lot of hits that shouldn't have been, and those are kind that end up triples. So I've been using the side view for that.

^ Yeah, thats the problem I had with the view too. So, I just switched back to the behind the plate view.

Are you supposed to be able to bat from that camera angle too? I'm new to the game and it happened to me yesterday. I was playing with the Yankees and Raul Mondesi got into a fight with the pitcher. After they all danced around on the mound, an overlay said that Mondesi was ejected and to press A to replace him. After I replaced him, the overlay stayed there through my half of the inning. Then on defense, I went back to behind the pitcher. The overlay STILL was there. Then when it was my turn to bat, I realized that I was still in the behind the pitcher view! I didn't try to change it because this was the first game that I played that you could use this angle. It took some getting used to, but it was cool.

pause and unpause the game and the overlay will be gone
