Hey, I found that if you lower the speed rating of all your players to 30, it's a lot harder to steal 2nd. Lowering their STEAL rating didn't help much, but the SPEED rating does. Several times late in the game (7, 8, 9th innning) I was throwing out trying to steal second using the queing method. This is a great game, editing the players is a great help. I'm hooked on the gameplay too. I don't like the cursor method so I use the timing method. Very sweet.

It's harder to advance a double or triple, but that's fine with me. I actually don't mind the regular stealing, I can get a man on second a lot but I still lose a lot of games. This fix (once it's right, I think 30 may be too low) all the SB stats should be consistent with other teams.Comment

Personally, I have not had any issues with stealing.. I get thrown out with guys I did not figure could steal a base anyway..
My question is this.. Are you suggesting changing the speed rating of ALL players for your team?

I'm not having any problems getting thrown out either. I just played a Sega Sports Challenge game, which defaults to All-Star level, and i was thrown out 2 out of 3 times.Comment

WOW, the Rockies must all have some serious wheels cause they can all steal 2nd without a problem. Other than that (and it's not a gmae killer for me) I have absolutely no complaints.Comment

What I did to "help" was take all catchers in the league and increase their arm strength by 10. Haven't played yet(just got done) but hopefull this will help. The main problem with the stealing is -If you look at the replays..Most time the runner does not just speed into a steal but rather the time it takes the catcher to get from sitting position to throwing position and then throwing. Takes too long for this to happen. They do not pop right up and throw but rather take a "Normal animation" transition from sitting to standing.
I will keep tweaking to see if anything helps.
