Oh, and you don't have to worry, the Cubs will go 59-103 in any baseball game.

I dont like text based games and I knew someone would say that but you know the only game IMO to be just as good as a text based game and be controlled with a joystick.

BB Pro 98. Thats what spoiled me. If any other game can reach the excellence of that game, I'll be one happy, happy guy. That game had all the things I descibed above. It was'nt the fun of the game that kept making me play. It was the unprecedented realness of the game that had me coming back for more. Every one of my friends who played that game said it was the most boring POS they ever played and wondered why I rocked it so damn hard. I had everything I want in a sports game. And I'm just speaking for my self. I'm sure 9-10 ppl want fun in there games but not me. I'm that 1 guy.

i'm telling you the Cubs fans has got to be the most loyal fans in any sport. Year after dissapointing year they watch they're beloved Cubs end they're season in July and yet the Stadium is packed day in and day out. Unbelievable.

I went to a couple of games last year and bothe times it was a full house. I think they all go to see Sammy.

Being a Cardinals fan, I can say I love it when the Cubs and the Cards get together.

BBPRO '96 was better, imo.. although I didn't use a joystick... I just managed, but I agree, the FPS series was quite a masterpiece.

It's too bad Sierra ruined the FPS line of sports games. They actually were working on FPS basketball too. Imagine how advanced those games could be today with the advances in technology.

Believe me, I think about it almost everyday. I was a year or two late to buy it and play it b/c I had a bottom of the line PC back then. But when I first played it, I fell in love with it. I still wish they kept following up with the series. Thats all that game needed was a graphical rehaul, dont touch the game play.

Back to the topic at hand,.....Todd how can you say that MVP is the most real looking. Yes the hitting animations are nice but the fielding animations(yuk) I can catch every fly ball with my back to the plate, every(almost) blooper hit over the infield can be caught by a diving SS or 2B. They don't even see the ball when they catch it. DP's are ok but can be very ugly. As far as sim is concerned.... pitching is not fine tuned enough to qualify as a sim, the hitting is close to top notch but the lack of varity of hits hurts badly. Stop, before you start yelling I really like this game but it does not qualify as a sim.

I'm talking about just the hits, nothing else. The hits off the bat look just like where it would go if you hit it at that point.

I've read WSB is beautiful, so I can' t comment on the rest of the game.

Combine WSB graphics and franchise mode with MVP's batting, pitching, and fielding meters (baserunning as well), along with HH's statistical AI model.

                              Then... we'd be in heaven....
