    BK, the Padres could give two or three major league teams a full rotation with the great arms they have in the minors and the ones they've already called up. The Padres could be serious contenders in a couple of years, especially in that division.

      I think thats what they're shooting for. I imagine a lot of the kids will be up with the big club by July of this year. The thinking being that they want them to get some play time, so they are ready to go when they open the new park in 2004.

      I have seen on TV and read in several places the Pads have as many talented young arms in their system as any team in the league.

          don't know if he's been mentioned yet, but the giants have a young prospect by the name of Jimmy Foppert or something like that. He's supposed to be pretty good. anyone else hear about him?
