Question about timed hitting

Question for those using timed hitting:

Does the contact/power swing still apply? If so, have you seen realistic home run results in using the contact swing?

Yes...it still applys.

My results have been realistic. Far more HRs with Power, but a lot of long drives with Contact.

However, keep in mind that I play at Comerica Park, so it takes a shot to hit the seats!

Also, what difficulty level do you play and what do you have as the pitcher effectiveness rating?

when i play with timed hitting, the settings i use that get realistic results are:

23% cpu throws strikes
100 pitcher effectiveness
very fast pitch speed

Geez, 100 pitcher effictivness? Isnt' it like facing Randy Johnson every time?

actually, im starting to get too good for it, so i think i will go back to cursor hitting. Honestly, i didnt notice much of a difference when i slowly went up from 40 to 100 pitcher effectiveness

Thanks--I think you just answered a question I had. I was wondering if changing any settings affected timed hitting, or if it only affected standard. I don't like cursor batting, so I had put it on timed. I'm getting way too many hits. I guess I'll bite the bullet and try cursor some more. I may strike out 27 times.
