Anyone find "fix" to throws to home problem?

Has anyone figured out way to make throws home without having the catcher move off line? Some plays I thought would be close end up being no play because the catcher moves odd the plate. Anyone with any ideas?

It's really dependant on who's thowing it. I play w/ the Cubs, and I've hosed guys at home plate with all three of my outfileders, all of whom have good arms in real life too.

I think the biggest problem with this is just that the animations are wierd/absent, and people think their CPU players are behaving foolishly, when, in fact, the result of the plays in question are just as they should be.

This is were the throw meters come into play along with throw rating and runners speed. You can't let the meter hit red. I have nailed more people at the plate than any other base.

run through the catch towards home plate as you throw, it uses momentum and body balance to determine the throw, I consistently hose people at home with jose cruz

Actually, I'll go into the red quite a bit if my player has a good arm. If your player has a little baseball icon, it shouldn't be a problem at all. The momentum thing is really important too. If someone's trying to get a sac fly on you, for example, start holding down "A" (X on PS2 I assume) before you even catch the ball, and then charge towards home as you throw.
