    Even better HITTING in MVP!

    How about this?

I think to add even more realism in the hitting to compliment the great and realistic hitting and pitching engine, EA should incorporate or simulate the amount of POWER or strength a batter puts into his swing.....perhaps a cool way to do this would be utilizing the TRIGGER instead of the buttons as a way to swing....the further down you push or hold the trigger, the HARDER the batters swing but the greater the chance of missing the ball...the lighter the press, the more CONTACT like swing with less power a batter would try to put on the ball, and his chances of making contact would increase.

    I don't like that idea

Being 37 years old and climbing...I like is just the way it is. Right now it's all about timing and location. I don't want anything added to make it overly complicated. Let the ratings do their job as far as hr, hits etc.. stuff.
That's why I love MVP style. It's simple yet very strategic and FUN right now.

I'm wondering if this already part of the engine! One thing I have noticed is that when I half heartedly press the swing button when I was trying to check, the ball is lightly hit (infield pop-up, lazy fly ball)
Things are looking up for sports gaming!

In real baseball.....batters sometimes swing harder to drive the ball further and sometimes swing to just make contact. I dont think it would complicate anything because you wouldnt be required to learn anything new in the process of hitting, you would just press harder or softer to simulate a real swing...it could add alot more realism and risk/reward into the engine that already is based on risk and reward decisions

actually, that's not bad. here's mine.

for everytime a batter winds up, he generates more power for the batter. he's strenght determines how much power he can generrated...
I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Hey I actually think your RIGHT!!!

I think its already in the GAME!!...I experimented by holding down my swings harder on the button and noticed more power generated in my swings!...Also I tried a few swings with a light tap and the balls were weakly hit!!....Can someone else try this to see if EA actually incorporated this great idea already?.....this could be fantastic!
