Hey I actually think your RIGHT!!!

I think its already in the GAME!!...I experimented by holding down my swings harder on the button and noticed more power generated in my swings!...Also I tried a few swings with a light tap and the balls were weakly hit!!....Can someone else try this to see if EA actually incorporated this great idea already?.....this could be fantastic!

I've been feeling like I've noticed the same thing (on XBOX by the way), but I don't have any real, hard data to back it up, it just seemed like, as the earlier poster said, if I came close to checking my swing, but still followed through, I'd end up with a weak little dribbler.

I also always press really hard when I'm swinging hard, but that's just a force of habit for me. I'm that guy that seems to subconciously believe that pressing down harder on the button will make my car go faster/fighter kick harder/ball player swing better

When you think about it though, it's entirely possible. This wouldn't be the first feature we've found that wasn't covered in the manual/tutorial.

It actually makes total sense....they developed this batting and pitching engine to be like playing real baseball...and in real hitting batters sometimes swing harder and sometimes swing jsut to make contact.

Bat Speed I think its called.

-press harder for quicker bat speed or Power = drive the ball further but less control over your swing, risk chance of missing contact

-swing slower for less bat speed but more control= better chance of contact, less drive to the ball

Has anyone tested this in the game??.....I think I have seen it too by pressing harder or longer!
