How do you get better at batting?

Hey fellas.

I, like many, am new to ASB and am struggling with batting. I love the game and it's amazing the amount of suspense that I have in my games..

Anyway, my question is what do you do to become a batter? What modes do you play in, and when in those modes, what do you focus on to bat better?

I realize playing is the first step but if I am not trying to learn to bat the proper way, then I will just keep doing the wrong things repeatedly, and not get any better.

I would greatly appreciate advice on how to become a better batter. When the pitcher throws a pitch, what should I watch for, and more importantly, what should I AIM for? The pitching indicator, the ball, something else?

Also, I would also appreciate it if you could recommend game modes, and settings to use to become a better batter at ASB. I love the game, and while I admit there may ba a few too many amazing catches, both myself and the CPU are doing them, so I have no worries in that regard.

Once I take the time and learn to bat better the game will become even more fun I am sure.

I am currently using Classic cursor, with exaggerated pitching and have pitching aid and strikezone on.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I would start on Rookie mode. Then go to batting practice and swing away. Like real batting, watch the ball leave the pitchers hand. It takes time but you will get better. Took me a while to get used to the pitches and how they break etc. I use Classic cursor and veteran level.
