Okay, so I released a couple players and traded away some of my RP to make a trade for a left handed arm for my bullpen, which I got (Ricardo Rincon, in exchange for two young, right-handed middle relievers), but now, there some empty slots from the guys I traded/released, but it won't let me add Rincon (listed as "inactive") as a MRP. It only seems to want to let me exchange already active players for inactives, and not use up my now empty slots.

I'm not sure if this answers your question, but try to activate Rincon first by going into the Active Roster section (I forget what its called) and move Rincon from your inactive roster to your active roster. Then go into your pitching rotation menu and put Rincon in as a MRP.XBL: Tanc -

Will it let me add a MRP to the rotation. I poked around a little, but it only seemed to let me arrange my starters, and/or swap them out for relievers. If I want to get Rincon on the active list, it seems like I have to put another pitcher on the inactive one, even though I have enough space
Thanks for the advice though. It gives me somewhere I hadn't though of to look

You can only have a total of 25 players on your active roster (both pitchers and non-pitchers). So even though it looks like there is space for more pitchers in your pitching rotation screen, you may not be able to fill all the spots if your total number of players is already at 25. Most teams seem to carry 10-12 pitchers, but the pitching rotation screen has spots for a lot more than this. Maybe this is your problem.XBL: TancComment

So even though it looks like there is space for more pitchers in your pitching rotation screen, you may not be able to fill all the spots if your total number of players is already at 25. You may be right. I'll check, but I did trade two-for-one to get Rincon, so I was alomst positive that it should have left one slot open. I don't think I got away with trading two inactive scrubs for him, but if so, more power to me I guess
I know a lot of people in the majors want to get their hands on some of the young Cubs arms, but that would seem a little unfair, heh.Comment

Good idea. I never thought of that, but I know a lot of past BB games have done similar things (rearranging your lineup when players are injured, etc.), and even I can't keep track of all the pitchers on the Cubs' staff this year!
I can't wait to get home and check all of these ideas. Thanks a bunch again!

Good idea. I never thought of that, but I know a lot of past BB games have done similar things (rearranging your lineup when players are injured, etc.), and even I can't keep track of all the pitchers on the Cubs' staff this year!
