Mvp dosent need sliders. Just practice a lot. Out of the box MVP is tough to get strikeouts against the CPU but after some games you get the hang of it and can get 5-8 per game which is realistic.

No offense but I rented the game, played exhibition games over and over with different teams and stadiums every time, have been playing on Pro mode, and I swear to God when I say this...

I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ONE GOD **** STRKIEOUT!!!

I've played WELL over 20 games now (still haven't played in every stadium yet though), and I must say that this game is impossible to get a strikeout.

That's the beauty of it.
Once you get used to it...practice.... more K's will happen. Earlier today I had 8 with Pettite! I usually only get about 2 to 4 a game, so when this happened I was pumped!

Thats the beauty of games today. You people who complain you have to customize should be thankful you can. I've been a gamer since the Atari 2600 days and in those days you paid $50 for a football or baseball game and it played how it played and if you didn't like it.....TOO BAD. So quit whining about having more options. More options and customization is GOOD, not BAD.

well back then the games were pure innocent fun and given a lot of slack because they weren't even close to reality. now when you see WSB and NFL2K4 they look like the real thing pretty much so you expect it to be 100% like the real thing. thats where we run into dissapointment I think. every little thing shatters that illusion. back then we had no illusion because of how the games were...

well back then the games were pure innocent fun and given a lot of slack because they weren't even close to reality. now when you see WSB and NFL2K4 they look like the real thing pretty much so you expect it to be 100% like the real thing. thats where we run into dissapointment I think. every little thing shatters that illusion. back then we had no illusion because of how the games were...

That's why I still have fun. Yes realism is good but I for one look for fun factor first. You will never here me say "the grass is cut wrong..what a game killer"
I could care less if the games are perfectly real etc.. I just want some time away from reality and play a good fun game...

Playing on CUSTOM slider I struck out 9 Giants tonight, still lost because of some slacker named Bonds, but....

Put your pitch cursor on and see where you are pitching. You might think you're thowing out of the stikezone, but you aren't. You can't strike someone out in PRO, the default mode, you're doing something wrong.

maybe i've been playing games for too long, but when i played games like WSB 95' and asb 2000 I didn't have to change anything and it seemed perfect, that's the point of this post. Same thing with madden 2003, nhl/nba 2k3, each needs too much screwing with the sliders instead of playing the actual product.
