The most addictive sports game in a long time!

Wow, is anyone else completely addicted to the franchise mode and intervening in games? If I see my team has a late lead in a big game I will often come in to try to close it out. For a first effort, this game is absolutely terrific. One complaint: In franchise play during a game, you cannot switch control of a team. In other games (NCAA Football, etc.) I will often give the control over to the CPU if I get a big lead and let the CPU finish off the game. This option is present in all other EA Sports games and it actually is a big deal to me, though I will probably be pretty alone on this. Also, the ability to intervene is great, so how about the ability to exit a game and let the CPU finish it up by simming the rest of it?

Don't know about you all, but the pitcher/batter interface is by far my favorite of this year's games (I have ASB, HH and WSB as well). The pitching interface may set a new precedent for next year's baseball titles. Great job EA! Now fix your FIFA and NHL series!

Oh, one more thought. EA REALLY nailed the baserunning AI. That has been a problem with many games in the not-so-distant past and the aggressiveness is perfect. I have seen one or two quirks when the throws are off-line, but overall I am very impressed. The CPU does NOT only run when it is a sure thing, so you can gun them down on occasion. I am loving this game so far. I need to give more time to WSB. To be honest it is the least impressive to me so far, something I never would have imagined.

This probably should be in the WSB thread, but I just played another couple of games of WSB and I must say it IS very good as well. I just needed to spend more time with it I guess. Wow, 4 pretty damned good baseball games this year!
