Re: Just pure frustration with pitcher subs

It has to do with the CPU going full throttle on each pitch, thus losing stamina quickly. Yesterday, I let the CPU play a game while I cleaning up my room and when I was done I started to play the game just to check out some of the players. I took over the Jays and Halladay's blue meter was more than a 1/3 of the way red in the 4th inning. When I play a game, my pitchers don't get that tired until around the 6th--because I don't max out the meter on every throw.

Ding-Ding, we have a winner here! Try simming a game or two... no problems, but when you play a game, the CPU pitcher doesn't change speeds at all/or enough. They max out most, if not all of their pitches, thus tiring out the pitcher prematurely. Should be an easy fix for next year.

If you are leading in the game by the 3rd, 4th or 5th inning the CPU will remove their pitcher every single time no matter what the score is or how many hits you have.

If you are tied or losing, the CPU will leave the pitcher in.

Wrong, I've lead many times in the third inning and the CPU pitcher was NOT taken out. Now, if you mean could be any of those innings, maybe. I think I was up 1-0 vs Roy Oswalt and he lasted until the 7th. Although I'm not 100% positive.

I hope this won't be the case every time, but I have played close to 20 games and I have only seen a pitcher go 6 or more innings once and that was in a 0-0 game. I have been playing on Pro level so I hope moving up to All-Star will make a difference

Can you edit the pitcher stamina rating before you start a franchise? I don't have the game but I am thinking about getting it. I have WSB and I know you can edit every rating for every player before you start a franchise/season. Is MVP the same? This would seem easy to fix if you can edit the stamina rating.
