Actually, I love this game, it is so deep and it seems I see something new every game. I have MVP and I got tired of that after 5 games.
But, to each their own I guess!

Re: anyone else getting tired of WSB?

I'm starting to get a little annoyed with it also. I put in HH last night just for a change and almost took it right back out when I saw how bad it looked after playing WSB. but I ended up playing HH all night instead of WSB because it doesn't have any major gameplay issues that bug me like this one. I posted this in another thread, but these are the things that I don't care for.

        1) High choppers to 3rd - the 3rd baseman comes charging in while the ball goes way over his head instead of waiting on the ball to come down and trying to get the runner. The SS ends up fielding the slow roller right by 3rd base with no chance to throw the runner out. Same goes for choppers to 1st base.

        2) When fielders make an bad throw to 1st that pulls the 1st baseman off, it is counted as a hit instead of an error even if the throw would easily have gotten the runner had it been on line. This makes error numbers low and hit numbers inflated. There aren't too many bad throws so this isn't that big a deal.

        3) Doubles over outfielder's heads are very rare. I've only had one or two doubles that weren't line drive shots into the gap. There should be more balls that get behind outfielders and it shouldn't have to be a screamer to the gap to do so. Also, hits down the line are easily cut off for singles when they should make it to the wall. I had two consecutive batters hit hard shots down the opposite field lines and the outfielders easily cut off the balls to hold me to singles. I checked the replays and both times the outfield was playing straight up, no shift. This is causing me to have less doubles than I should.

        4) I hate how players jump out of the way of balls that are just barely inside. This is not a big deal at all, but its a little goofy to see that animation every time you throw inside.

I'm also a bit disappointed with the terrible faces and the fact that about 10-15 guys on each team all have the same exact face. At least have a few different faces for the players Sega doesn't feel are important. Not just white guy generic face and black guy generic face.

I admit that, although I thought the gameplay wasn't very good in ASB2004, there is just something that I miss about that game I think that next year ASB2005 will make improvements leaps and bounds.

Quite the contrary, I've been playing it for a week nonstop, more each day. It's really cutting into my sleep time. Last night I was up till 5 am playing WSB2k3!!! heh
