You know i actually had a problem with some little things with this game but i am overlooking them now this game is very realstic just as realstic as asb 2004 alough i like that game too. If you throw balls right down the strikezone dont even play this game you got to work batters in this game and vice versua. Very realstic.

I'm kind of teetering on this game now. For some reason ASB is calling my name, but I'm afraid to put it in for fear that I'll start playing it over WSB.

I don't get it. If you like ASB better, why not play it? Or not even better...if you like both and have both, why not play one or the other?

Mainly because I've started a franchise in WSB and I don't want to lose what I've done. The way that I am, once I start one in ASB I will completely abandon my WSB franchise. I'm probably going back to ASB though once the next roster update comes out.

Re: anyone else getting tired of WSB?

I agree with you guys. WSB2k3 is starting to become more of a chore than a pleasure to play. For one, I am striking out too many guys with mediocre pitchers such as Chuck Finley and Jason Schmidt. I've tried too many slider combinations (including the "big 3" listed in Graphik's thread).

I also find it too easy to hit. I have about 6 guys who have averages over .350 (Jose Cruz Jr., Ray Durham, Travis Hafner, Karim Garcia, Barry Bonds, Rich Aurilia). I am the #1 in the league for Hits and AVG. Yes, I am playing on Legend mode with Very Small Batting Cursor, Very Fast Pitch Speed and alternating between Medium & High Variable Pitching.

The CPU doesn't even warm up their pitchers in my game. They just bring anyone in at anytime. Heck, it's the 6th inning, their pitcher is down to 1/4 stamina and he's coming up to bat (with the lead). The CPU lets him bat and brings in a non-warmed up pitcher in the next half-inning.

I don't mind the player scaling problems or lack of faces issues. Got used to them in High Heat.

Honestly, this is IMO the best baseball game out of this year's crop and probably the best baseball game I've played in a long time. WSB2k3 just lost...its flair I guess.

Since I am dying to upgrade my 'puter, I might just sell this game for money.

PS: No, I am not an anti-SEGA fanboy or whatever. I have owned most of the 2k3 games this year and although the foundation for all of the games are there, little kinks in the game keep the game from being really fun.

Examples: Superhuman goalies in NHL2k3 & Wide Receivers dropping the ball even while they are wide open in NFL2k3.

I'm sorry that the game became too easy for you...did you try raising the batter eye (strikes) and cpu batting average sliders? I have them at 60 and 35 repectively. Also, for the CPU to pitch at his max he needs to be at 100 with MVP and CPU throws Strikes at 5. IT's crucial that he's at MVP not HVP as I found out.

Batter EYe(Balls) at 90 is still the sam, But these other ones are some updated ones if you haven't tried them out yet. Let me know how it is?

Oh 2 more things. Make sure USER pitching, you're throwing with HVP while CPU throws at MVP.
And maybe because you're the Giants makes it easier to get hits...not sure, just guessing.

                        Good luck

Those guys are warm. The CPU doesn't have to warm up pitchers. They basically have the luxury of the Active Bullpen option being off all the time. And no there is no way to change that.
