The CPU doesn't even warm up their pitchers in my game. They just bring anyone in at anytime. Heck, it's the 6th inning, their pitcher is down to 1/4 stamina and he's coming up to bat (with the lead). The CPU lets him bat and brings in a non-warmed up pitcher in the next half-inning.

Those guys are warm. The CPU doesn't have to warm up pitchers. They basically have the luxury of the Active Bullpen option being off all the time. And no there is no way to change that.

Finley may or may not be good right now in real life (I dunno as I don't watch much baseball) but he's still rated 80 in the game and that's above average.

As for me, well I never went to sleep at all last night because i played 10 straight games of WSB2K3.....(I finally passed out at noon) so I'd definitely say its not getting old for me, rather more addictive. I've had the game since release day on XBox btw.

That's what I thought too. However, I am leading the Majors in K's. Chuck is like 12 K's ahead of Randy Johnson (who is #2) for #1 in K's - and Chuck has had 1 less outing than Randy Johnson.

I recently had a 17 K game with Finley a couple nights ago. At first, I was thrilled but then I looked at the stats and saw how superhuman Finley suddenly became. The only explaination that I had was that I was taking on the Brewers...

WSBfanatic, no I have not tried your latest but I've tried previous incarnations of your settings. I like them but it is still too easy to fool the CPU batter. I'll give your latest settings a shot next time I have the chance but not only the absurd amount of K's I receive that bothers me, it's more than that.

                  That makes sense.

Finley and Schmidt are both SO pitchers. I'd compare Finley to Emmitt in NFL video games. A good player with injury/endurance problems b/c of age...doesn't translate well to video games. Schmidt is definitely an above average pitcher. But I don't know what a lot means. If they're averaging 12K's a game or something then that is too much for anybody. I don't get quite that many...but I'm an O's fan.

Actually in my WSB it's translated well. Finleys been a good pitcher but now I'm in the playoffs and he's continuously having problems with fatigue (he's always listed as tired) because I think I overused him. So for me it's worked out realistically.

He's also getting old. I'm sure he's considering a retirement the year after the one you are in.

I'm just loving this game more and more!

When Mo Vaughn comes up and he looks like Rod Carew, I want to turn off the TV.
