Question for Heel and other ASB fans...

Heel and others, If you love ASB and have experience with other games, what is making you keep asb?

WHat i mean is what does it have that the others don't in terms of gameplay, extras, franchise, fun value, etc.? I have played my roomate's copy of ASB and am really getting into. I am really tentative to buy it though without hearing why you prefer it tot the other games.

I would really appriciate your input on this, expecially if you have played other games.

(I only asked Heel because i noticed that he said he was taking back WSB and MVP and keeping only ASB, but anyone is welcome ot help me out.)

    1. Franchise mode is the deepest of any sports game I've played

    2. Most of the major gameplay issues can be corrected with experience (future throws, etc) and then it just equals or beats any game out there.

    Just my $0.02

I love the gameplay and subtle baseball touches in the game--the franchise mode is supposed to be the deepest with rule 5 draft etc--but I keep getting locked up after 6 to 8 seasons so I can not vouch for it over the rest

WSB feels like a video game to me. I might of liked WSB more if I had never played ASB. MVP is a year away from being a solid game (no jump or dive button, franchise mode could be deeper).

ASB is the best and every time I play, I see something new.

                1. best franchise mode
                2. best commentary
                3. best stadiums
                4 solid , realistic gameplay.

WSB is a nice looking game. However, ASB is the better game of BASEBALL in my opinion. The stats are realistic, the pitcher/batter confrontation makes you feel like you are really working for your hits and walks. And the atmosphere is a huge bonus. While it doesn't look as good on my widescreen TV as WSB, the working scoreboards, real time pitcher warmups in the bullpen and accurate jumbotron/out of town scoreboards are a very nice touch.

After playing 3 awesome games today, i have decided to pick myself up a copy of ASB tonight. I had 2 pitchers duels and a high scoring afair 14-12 win. I love this game.

Thanks for your input guys. I just can't imagine a game being more COMPLETE than this one.
