Going up from Veteran to All Star - Question?

I moved up from Veteran to All-Star tonight and I had a few questions for those that have already made the move.

    1) I noticed a significant decrease in throwing strikeouts. The CPU didn't hit better or score more runs, they just didn't strike out. I was getting great K numbers on Veteran and was wondering if anyone else had this experience.

    2) On allstar level I noticed you can't send a runner by giving him the steal signal. I tried to steal by sending the guy on the first move home but was thrown out by a mile at 2nd. I have auto leading on. Any advice on stealing?

Watch the slide step. Slide step = base runner go bye-bye.

Veteran - make the steal sign, runner will wait until the pitcher winds up to take off

All-Star - make the steal sign, runner will take off immediately. You have to wait until the wind up to give the sign, or he's toast.

hmm, I play Veteran and though I had to manually steal the guy? Are you supposed to use the d-pad to give the steal sign?

Snate, with the Cardinals pitching staff, I usually get between 4-8 strikeouts a game on AllStar level. Every once in a while, I'll have a game where I get into double digits, but for the most part, that's what I've been seeing.
