    MY SUCCESS WITH PITCHING....

last night i had a 10 k strike out night with J. Schmidt. what did i do?:
pro, pitch icon solid, 7 innings, default camera angles

    - pitched in the cold zone teasing the hot zone. basically, put 75% of the pitching cursor in the cold and the remaining 25% in the hot. this freezes the batter, or forces alot of foul balls. remember, diferent situation will call for you to pitch in different areas. it's up to you to figure that out. the changes of pitch type are very important. but you all should know that.

    - when you got the batter on the rope with a 0-2 count, but have already used your bread & butter pitch, throw a 1 or two pitches out of the strike zone using very little power. you know he's not going to swing so why waste the energy. also with good batters, look to work their cold zone to get them out. with average or poor batters, you'll find it safe to alil' in the cold/hot zone, the first part i was talking about.

    - HIGH FASTBALL IS A PITCHER BEST FRIEND! i would say 60% of the time, i can get a (good or bad) batter out with this pitch. i struck out Jim Edmonds twice with this pitch. i got got two batters out on 3 straight pitches.

the next game i got 8 K's! with Pedro! the final one ending a game with Soreano (sp) striking out! i was so pumped and happy! i find it so much fun pitchin gin this game, i find myself switching back and forth from different teams just to get the practice.

i can't wait til the pc version comes out to see what extra it has to offer...

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

What is easy to hit and stop the CPU on pro level, or was it cool?

"SkyBoxer", ji'm not sure i understand wehat you're asking, but the cpu is very competitive on pro. i was surprised to get strike out throwing in the strike out zone, the changing of speed and location is important.

hitting in the defeault camera view is tough. you can see the movement of the ball, but with good pitchers, you'll have to be patient and on top of things.

ppl need to uderstand, you'll have your good days and your bad. just don't give up.

by the way, i got your p.m., but my account on the board has been given me trouble. are you enjoying HH2004?...

Undecided on HH. I really love the way it plays but still struggling with the batter animations and overall graphics. Going to give it time though...

I ended a complete game shutout with Al Leiter by striking out Sammy Sosa to make it my 8th K.
