Is there a huge variety of hit types in All Star
I just picked it up last night and have been enjoying it so far. But it seems that all Im getting is fly balls. I am willing to accept that this may be due to me having to learn to bat (the ball just zips to the catcher in this game). But after I get use to hitting, will I start to see more variety.... choppers, line drives through the infield, bloopers into shallow center, etc. ? Any info would be appreciated.

yes, I get a good variety. My last game I had 4 hits that were grounders, 1 that went up the middle and hit the mound, some in the gap and some bloopers over the infield. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: Is there a huge variety of hit types in All Star
I've seen a good variety of hits, but I haven't seen two things yet:
1) Choppers. I haven't seen any high bouncing grounders.
2) I haven't seen any hits back at the pitcher that they can't field. Has anybody hit one back to the pitcher and it either hits their glove and re-directs or hits them in the leg, head, etc...Comment

I hit a grounder up the middle last game that the pitcher did not catch. It jumped off the top of the mound and bounced into CF.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Using classic cursor.
I tend to get a lot of gappers. But there are a good variety of other hits as well. I've hit shallow bloopers that the outfielders don't even try to catch. If hit screaming liners off the wall, liners right up the middle. I've had several that have bounced off the mound. Also I have hit a couple of "seeing eye singles" that have barely made it thru the infield under the gloves of DIVING SS AND 3rd Baseman.
I haven't seen a lot of line drives hits down the base line, but I can live with that. I attribute that to the fact that i'm still working on the TIMING of my swing. I've started hitting a LOT better now due to developing a decent eye for the locations, but its still hard to catch up to a good heater and hard to not swing early on a good changeup.Comment
