Anyone here get the Chris Richard for Jack Cust deal to go through on their Franchise? I've been trying, but "Chris Richard doesn't fit into the Rockies plans". If you got it, could you tell me how. Thanks.

I had been trying to pull this one off too. Another option is to release each to the FA pool and then sign them to their new squads.Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!

Gee...some odd reason I did pull off the trade and put Cust down in the minors and bought Matos up. But here is my question...Now that Matos ain't doin so good I sent him down for Larry Bibie (or how ever you spell it) and went 2 start my game...I couldn't... it said I needed a OF. What's the deal?...Larry is listed as a RF, and Matos is list OF and can play every position, but I don't want him I want Larry on my 25 man team...Someone please help!...."I can't start a game"

Did you go into your lineups and fill in the empty spot with your new guy? I am assuming the guy you sent down was a starter. Not sure it automatically redoes your lineup card for you.Comment

No...Luis Matos isn't a starter...I checked out the roster screen and it has this. CF-Mattews, needed/ LF-Cordova, Gibbons, needed/ RF-Bigbie,Gibbons,needed/.....man this sucks cuz for Bigbie it has RF/COF...guess theres no way for him 2 play in the Majors this year!

Tried that route, but it gives me some garbage about "position integrity". I could release Cust, but I couldn't release Richard. In franchise mode, is there any trade combination that works (Picking up a free agent and trading him w/ Richard?)? Otherwise I'm going to have to wait for the first roster update before I begin my real franchise.

Here's another thought.
Could you possibly release a LM'er (of a different position that Cust) and replace him with an arbitrary guy off the FA list who IS the same position as Cust. Then see if that allows you to release him?Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!
