one bad pitch is all it takes

so i'm playing a game in my yankees franchise last night, against the twins, and mussina has a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth. two outs, runner on second, and i start pitching to corey koskie. i'm quickly down 2-0 in the count, and at this point i know i should have pulled mussina. not wanting to pull him during the middle of an at-bat, i decide to try and let him finish the at-bat.

should've walked koskie. mussina's green area was too small, i missed it, and koskie belted it to center field.....inside the park home run thanks to a vicious bounce off the wall. all of a sudden i'm down 3-2, and "every day" eddie guardado closes me out easily. damn.

yup, when that green zone starts getting small, it's really tough. I've been through the same thing, where i'm just to stubborn to pull a guy and he gets laced.

Last nite I was playing against the twins. I was down 2-0 to Tori Hunter (Twins). I was a little tired w/ May (Royals) and made a mistake up in the zone. Hunter made me pay big time. I went onto to lose the game 3-2.

Oh well...I will just keep plugging. It's just such a darn struggle to get to .500 w/ the Puddin's (Royals).

kudos to you for taking on the royals for a season. i've been a yankees fan since the 77 series when i was six years old and saw reggie go yard three times in that game.....but i grew up in milwaukee and my hometown team (although i haven't followed them at all since the mid-80s) is the brewers. i started a season with them during the five days total that i had with ASB (i thought it sucked and returned it), but it was far too painful......AT LEAST WITH THE ROYALS YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE GOOD PLAYER. for the brewers, it's richie sexson, then a whole lot of nothing. geoff jenkins, MAYBE.
