Just Purchased MVP a few comments and one main question

Just purchased mvp for ps2 today. After 2 games here is some little impressions...

    1) Game is fairly fun. The menus are pretty easy to navigate thru, awesome music playing....good start.

    2) Picked the Jays for Franchise mode, goals were fairly realistic....win a world series, get 2 guys in the all star game, stuff like that.

    In Game Comments:

    1) Pitching. Man this is so hard, but so great. However I do have a question that may be a concern. Even playing on rookie level no matter how many times i try, I just cannot hit the green area on the pitch meter with a pitch other than a fastball. Is this normal? or is this going to continually occur?

    2) I like the baserunning windows, pretty neat.

    3) Announcers are pretty good, not all that annoying.

    4) Stadiums look pretty good.

    5) Ive seen a few homerun balls bounce around after being hit. Also there is a lot of suspense as to if the ball will go out.

In my first game naturally I was going to get rocked. I was having a tough time getting familarized with the pitch meter, so I ended up giving 7 runs in the first inning. Final score ended up being 15-3 for the Yankees. In my 2nd game, the bastards beat me 10-6. Hitting is pretty easy.

Concerns: Computer never swings and misses, hopefully this trent does not continue.

Batters don't swing at bad pitches

It's pretty hard to tell when your pitcher is getting tired.

Overall this is a pretty decent 1st effort by EA. This game should be BADASS next year.

You should hit the green on all pitches. It's about timing. I have not had a problem with hitting the green unless i just mistime it or the area is smaller because of tiredness.

    1. The computer will swing a miss. Work on changin speeds and fooling them.

    2. they do swing at bad pitches. Same as above

    3. Pitcher gettin tired: the red in the meter will rise and the green area will begin to get smaller

lol, the Blue Jays have more upside than anyone in the AL East...even the Yankees.
