Thats right. I couldnt believe what I was watching. The situation was this: Giants vs. Dodgers at Pac Bell, 2nd game of a four game set. LA is leading 8-3 in the bottom of the 8th inning. We(Giants) get a one out walk from Marvin Benard(pinch hitter). Ray Durham then beats out a bunt down the third base line. Benard to second. Alphonso hits a blooper to left feild, but because I dont know if it will be caught or not, I can only advance Benard to third and Durham to second. Alphonso at first, which loads the bases. Gagne comes in and strikes out Cruz Jr., which brings up Bonds with two outs. I am nervous as hell because Barry hasnt seen much to hit all game (3 BB's and a ground out) and I know he will finally have an opportunity to make a difference. Four straight wide ones later and the score is 8-4 with Rich Aurilia now at bat. I could not imagine feeling any more satisfied with a single gaming experience. I called my friend and told him about it while pausing the game. And it was intentional, not just throwing bad pitches, but four wide ones and take your base Mr. Bonds!
By the way , Aurilia popped out and we lost the game 10-4, however, that sequence alone was worth the fifty bucks I paid for High Heat.
