Re: Guys, how do you run just one runner on the basepaths?
My impression is that you use L to advance ALL runners and R to retreat ALL runners. If you want to move just one, you use the D-Pad in conjunction with the triggers. In other words, if you have guys on 1st and 2nd and there's a hit, and you want the lead runner to try and score but the guy on 1st to stop at 2nd - you'd hold down (home plate) on the D-Pad and then pull the L trigger to advance toward home. The guy running from 1st will ignore that command because it only applies to the guy ahead of him. If you then decide you want the guy from 1st to try for 3rd, then you'd hold left (third base) on the D-Pad and pull the L trigger.
Does that make sense? When you're holding a direction on the D-Pad, the triggers will then only apply to the runner that has a chance at that base - not to all of them. I think that's in the manual.

It IS in the manual. See pg 13 & 14 (Xbox manual). It probably explains it more clearly than I just did.

I TOTALLY understand what you mean. Interplay was like that, High Heat is (from my knowledge), MLB games (except you ran with Square and Circle instead of L and R), etc.
Hopefully it's the same for PS2.Comment
