    strikeout theory

this may have been mentioned before, but here goes anyway.

i'd been having as much trouble getting strikeouts as everyone else. until last night, and i think i have an idea why. you obviously have to be setting the batter up throughout the course of the at-bat, but i've found that when i go for the potential strikeout pitch.....i've only been successful with it when i've taken the pitch meter all the way into the red (and then stopped it in the green, obviously). doing it this way, after setting up the batter with different speeds and making a smart pitch selection, i've struck batters out swinging and looking.

i had never had more than two in the game, then all of a sudden david wells gets seven and jeff weaver gets eight.

welcome to our my world. you're no longer a virgin...

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

it was the most special moment of my life. nothing before it matters, nothing after it will ever be the same.

i knew good things would happen when i got rid of that pesky acne.
