    Anyone else not notice...

That Albert Pujols was hitting .359? I had no idea until I just looked at his stats. You'd think you would hear something on ESPN, but I had no idea.

The baseball tonight people are touting him for MVP. So I think they noticed.

Up to .361 and had a huge homerun in last night's game. If the Cards make the playoffs, he will get serious consideration for MVP.

I was going to start a thread with the following question, but since this thread exists already....

"Is Albert Pujols the best hitter ever?"

I think if the Cards make the playoffs, he should easily get it. It's amazing how he almost never strikes out, walks a ton, and has an amazing average: he's pretty much impossible to get out

As to the topic at hand, this must be the quietest .361 average for a star player in a LOOONG time. If the Cards make the playoffs (and they should the way the Brewers and Cubs are sliding down the drain) then he should get MVP honors.

He should get it whether they make the playoffs or not without question. Hes clearly the class of the NL this year. I mean the guy is 85 points of OPS clear of second place and is one of the best defensively at his position.
