Yearly Budget Allotment, Expenses vs. Points Used

In the team's yearly Budget Allotment, what's the deal with the budget setup, in that, my team had 142 points to spend in the preseason setup... but the expenses are 150???
The expenses amount is continuing to rise even though I make no new FA's signings, etc... so why is it rising and there is an 8 point differenece?
No computer run team has a difference in these two numbers,.... what's the deal with the changing amount??
    Anyone know for sure?

Has anyone checked this on their franchise?
Do I have a game glitch or is this a game bug? Or something else?
    Anyone?

I'm not sure what you mean? Explain a little further, and I can possibly help.

I think I get your message now....I may not be going to answer your question, but I'm gonna try. Do you know that after preseason, and before the regular season, your franchise value and budget allotment will increase or decrease a few points depending on how your team performed? The expenses figure is how many points you can use...the used points are how many you have used. So perhaps you started with 142 at the beginning of preseason, and after preseason, you gained an additional 8 points to use before opening day...but you can only adjust these numbers at the start of preseason or regular season, once you play the 1st game, you're stuck with those numbers through the season. I bet you got a raise of 8 points and didn't notice it. If you do well in preseason, its like your boss saying "here's a little more money to use where you want to."
            Hope this helps.

Re: Yearly Budget Allotment, Expenses vs. Points Used

I will try to explain in more detail, and give why it's a concern:

In each preseason, you set up your budget allotments on the budget allotment page in the GM section, of which you allot your given budget points to medical, training, etc, the 4 categories. When you allocate all the given points, they equal the expenses for the year at the bottom of that same page/screen.
                - Now I'm into my first season, and my "points used" for 2003 vs. the 2003 "expenses" are growing apart..
they were both 142 to begin the preseason, but now the points used are still 142, but the expenses are now up to 150. When I look at the other teams in the league, all the computer GM ran teams still have the same amount in both totals columns, (points used & expenses) while there is a slow growing difference in mine, for unknown reasons...
                and... the reason I'm concerned...
I haven't had a chance to check this yet, but it appears that the unused salary points that my team has, appear to be being affected by the additional number of points that the expenses column is increasing by.
I have no idea why the number is growing. And I see nothing to explain it in the ASB rulebook.

-- Anyone else notice this - having this same type thing happening?
-- Or when you look at the budget allotment screen in your GM options section, and you are part way into your first season, are the numbers still equal, as they were in the beginning of the year?
