Yeah, I like to start usually with a low inside or outside fastball, then come back with a change up on the opposite side as first pitch, then bring it home with a cutter or slider of some sort, low and hittin the corners. I usually average 12-15 K's a game with my 1+2's, and less than 10 with my 3-5.
    Peace

I have only played 2 games in my frachinse in M's. I forgot how many Ks I had with pineiro and buehlre I think I had 5-6 Ks with each. I usually throws a few fastballs to start off count. If I get a 0-1 count I usually go around the corners in the cold spots of the player. I tend to throw a lot of fastballs and changeups.

                fast, offspeed, fast
                breaking pitch, fast, offspeed
                To name a few methods...

Just change speeds and don't throw the same two pitchs/locations in a row all that often. Keep the ball in the cold zones and if you throw a breaking pitch on an 0-2 count try and get them to chase it off the plate.

With the A's staff, i focus on off-speed pitches as well as the curve, cutter, and splitters. I love using those as my out-pitches. I also like using fastballs too, but I try to be unpredictable in my pitch selection to keep hitters guessing...
