Is it an arcade or sim? Does it have great potential? I thought I read somewhere that Diamond Mind Baseball was providing the stats for IP, but I'm not sure.

IP isn't out yet, but I'll give you this info...
It will not have franchise mode (only season)
It will have recent rosters...
It will have the Expos playing in PR...
But Microsoft is doing a good job with this game, getting themselves into the baseball video game market, but it'll be a couple of years before they get competitive. -

It will be playable on XBL. Which is all I need to know. I doubt I'll play more than a game or two off-line, but I look forward to many summer nights of online baseball.

uuuuuggh ( coughing up phlem ) this looks like a modified Microsoft baseball engine from the pc version from a few years ago...the batter swings look stiff, the bat crack sounds nothing like a ball hit and the swings dont seem to sync with the ball....Also the pitcher doesnt seem to extend his arm and release the ball from an extension of his arm but rather it looks like the pitches are coming from the center of his chest
This game looks too mechanical and doesnt seem to bring any advancements to the table.....we'll see but it looks lousyComment
