There are a bunch of cheat cards you get buy purchasing card packs. You can use these cheats the same way as using the alternate uniform cheat. Go to quick play, options and enable a cheat. You may actually have to start a game for this one to work, not sure. Anyway, then you load up your franchise and the cheats still work. Aluminum bats are great

You can find most of them in the Pete Rose scenario mode. (sorry had to do it)
