Yea, instead of complaining about Acclaim...learn how baseball is played...usually, when you come off the DL, you then go to the minors for a rehab assignment. Duh.

It's not worth putting them in the DL if their injuries only last like a day or two.

True dat!! Buchanan jammed his wrist in spring training, I had him on and off the D.L several times trying to get rid of the injury, but didn't figure out the High Minors thing till too late. But in the mean time Buchanan has hit .300 with 10 hrs and 50 rbis in little over 300 at-bats-- not bad for a guy who's wrist has been jammed.

I've had other day-to-day injuries that went away on their own though, but if they're not going away, they need re-hab. But A LOT of players play through pain. Jeff Bagwell and Todd Helton for example, suffered through shoulder and back injuries all year last year but still played....

These minor injuries don't have any effect, my guy has 5 homers and is still playing as if he was healthy and my pitcher has no problem pitching. It's just annoying to see:

                April 22, 2003

Jeff Carpenter will be out until April 25, with a concussion. Would you like to place him in the DL? (and for the five time, no).

And if I send them down, they might go to waivers, and since they are good players, they'll probablly get claimed so yeah. Not worth it. BTW, dce, are you playing as the Padres?

After they go on the DL, then you can send them down and not risk them getting claimed.

No, I drafted him for my expansion team. I have a theory chronically injured players perform better in this game. Buchanan was money.

Miguel Olivo on the other hand played as if he'd had gender re-assingment surgery gone wrong.. a.250 slg %... what the &!$% is that!!!

From now on I'm probably going to use Spring Training for what it was meant for; Training!

I recently discovered that the most realistic way to play the game for me is without the strike zone for batters. Basically what I'm saying is, in Spring Training I'll use the Strike Zone and get used to it, and then when the season begins, drop it.
